scott is a better person than i ever will be, case in point:

1. immediately goes to try and fix the past even though he could be absolutely selfish and stay home with cassie after losing so many years with her (not only the five but also the ones he was in prison for)
2. doesn’t fucking deck anyone in the face when they insult him, fuck up the plan, or are just being general dickwads
3. listens to thor rambling with a small, kind smile on his face despite them never meeting before
4. never at any point talks down to someone because they don’t understand what he’s saying; he just says it differently so they do (which i think is a sign of true intelligence because if u really know what ur talking about u can explain it to a six year old–something scott is really flipping good at)
5. dives hundreds of feet deep beneath the compound, risking drowning and being crushed, to help people he’s only really known for a week
6. is the only person to never say anything mean about his teammates the entire damn movie despite people mocking him or calling him names
